Music Ally: Trqk Launches Analytics Tools for Performance Royalties

Music trade publication Music Ally's story about the launch of the public beta of the TrqkIQ™ platform hails Trqk as one of the companies trying to help songwriters better understand their music royalties.

Analytics for songwriters and publishers were perhaps neglected in the past in favour of dashboards for master recordings, but the industry is catching up now – from the publisher data provided by Spotify to a clutch of startups trying to help songwriters understand their streams and royalties.

Trqk is one of them: founded in 2019, it has just launched its first product in public beta. TrqkIQ is described as “a visualisation, detection, and insight platform for performance royalties” with target users ranging from songwriters up to publishers and collecting societies. It’s starting with the former group: TrqkIQ – Indie Edition, and the offer that if they upload a royalty statement (and if they’re comfortable doing that, obviously) they can get a free visualisation of it to see how the platform works.
